Hello, I’m Laine

The Good Body Space grew from my own experience living inside — and learning to open — the invisible fields that shape us: breath, tension, memory, survival.

Born and raised in South Africa during a time of deep systemic patterning, I've lived, studied, and traveled across Asia, Europe, and beyond — drawn always to the body’s wisdom beneath culture, history, and identity.

Along the way, my field has been influenced not just by formal training, but by encounters with living systems of healing and awareness: breathwork, meridians, fascia, somatic traditions, plant medicine, energy work, qigong, and heart-body practices from many traditions.

Professionally, my background includes Humanistic Counselling training (Gestalt-focused), Body Stress Release hands-on practice, Clinical Somatics Exercise education, Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) studies, and ongoing participation in Internal Family Systems (IFS) training.

I don't believe pain is random.

I don't believe the body is broken.

I believe in patterns: how they hold, how they protect, how they can open — when met with enough space, enough presence, and enough living choice.

My approach isn't about pushing or fixing.

It's about mapping the field you're in, noticing what's being held, and opening new pathways of breath, movement, and being.

If you're ready to explore the space between what you've carried and what's possible, you're warmly invited.
